Doula pricing seems to vary widely based on where you live, and the
level of experience and extras each doula brings to the table. I charge
$400 for birth doula services which includes three prenatal preparatory meetings, an on-call period of two weeks before and after your due date (basically committing to be in the Kamloops area during that time frame, and as available as possible), attending
the birth, one follow up meeting, and taking photographs during the
birth (if you wish). Photographs would be provided to the client on CD,
DVD, or memory stick. For postpartum doula services, I charge $15 per hour. This can also be negotiated to create a mutually agreeable fee based on each family's needs.
That said, if cost would be a barrier for you, let's have a conversation about that and work to develop a plan that would work for both of us.
